Filipino filmmaker Jerrold Tarog started out as a composer for award-winning directors such as Cannes Best Director Brillante Mendoza. At the same time, he developed and expanded his filmmaking craft by making several short films. His first full length film, CONFESSIONAL (2007), which he directed, wrote, scored, edited and mixed, won Best Film, First Features Category, at the 10th Osians Cinefan in New Delhi, India and has won acclaim from local and international critics and audiences. He has since directed several feature films in both independent and mainstream circles, garnering mostly rave reviews. As of 2013, he has a combined career total of 58 awards and nominations for his multidisciplinary work.
